Stefano Tennina was born in L’Aquila, Italy, in 1978. He received the Laurea degree (cum laude) in Electronic Engineering from the University of L’Aquila, Italy, in 2003 and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from the same Institution in 2007. Since August 2002, he has been with the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering and the Centre of Excellence in Research DEWS, holding the position of post-doctoral researcher. He is currently a Research Scientist in the CISTER Research group, involved in the EMMON project of the ARTEMISIA 7th European Framework.
His main research interests are in the area of communication protocol design, and wireless communication systems, with particular emphasis on applied analysis and experimentation on physical networks testbeds. His current research activity is mainly focused on fully distributed positioning algorithms, and source coding. He is author or co-author of 20 journal and conference papers in the area of wireless communication systems, positioning techniques and experimental activities.
