Marisol García-Valls is a full professor at University Politecnica de Valencia (Spain) since February 2019. Before, she was associate professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a degree in Computer Science Engineering from Universitat Jaume I, Spain.
Her current research interests include cybersecurity and cyberdefense scenarios and systems, IoT and Fog computing, reliable distributed systems, software technologies, real-time middleware, cyber-physical systems, modeling and software engineering. She has been (and is) enrolled in a number of National and European projects, being the scientific and technical coordinator of iLAND project (Artemis-1-00026). She is PC member for different relevant conferences in these above areas. Currently, she participates in EU project ASSISTANCE (H2020 832576; 2019-2020).
She is member of the editorial board of Future Generation Computer Systems, and of the Journal of Systems Architecture in the area of "middleware".
