Hazem Ismail Ali has obtained his BSc. In Electronics and Communications Engineering from Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University in June 2000. Since then, he started his professional life working in industrial research in various companies in Egypt for more than 6 years. Then, he started his master studies at Halmstad University (HH) in Sweden, obtaining his MSc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering with focus on Embedded and Intelligent systems in March 2010. During his master studies, he collaborated with Ericsson research labs in Lund, Sweden for one year.
Hazem has joined CISTER research centre in October 2010 and enrolled as a PhD candidate at Faculty of Engineering (FEUP), University of Porto. During his PhD studies, he participated in research on “Embedded Real-time systems” particularly in “Real-time Scheduling of Mixed Application Models with Timing Constraints on Multi-cores”. His research interests include Embedded Systems, Real-time Systems, Distributed Real-time Systems, Parallel Computing, Algorithm Designing, Dataflow Computational Models, Dataflow Programming Languages, Embedded Parallel Computing, Parallel Algorithms, and Embedded Software Design.
