ABSTRACT:
There is an increasing eagerness to run applications on multi-/many-core processors while preserving the time-predictability of the execution as required by real-time practices.
This presentation discusses the various methodologies to timing analysis, in particular we will discuss the one based on online measurements. First, we will discuss why we believe that this approach is the most appropriate among the currently-available techniques, by presenting the pros and cons of each. Second, we will make a demo of our tool "Quicktrace" that automatizes the process of collecting runtime traces. We will also discuss how such tools can be used to demonstrate timing properties of the target platform.
