Software Defined Radio and Wireless CommunicationCISTER Building (ISEP/IPP), Porto, Portugal
ABSTRACT:
Experimental research on wireless communication protocols frequently requires full access to all protocol layers, down to and including the physical layer. Software Defined Radio (SDR) hardware platforms, together with real-time signal processing frameworks, o ffer a basis to implement transceivers that can allow such experimentation and sophisticated measurements. GNU Radio is one of available signal processing framework for SDR. The basic development of GNU Radio is done in a manner that makes it compatible with low-cost RF hardware to achieve SDR. Primarily written in Python and C++, this tool provides user with radio system in quite simple interface. The talk will be about development of an IEEE 802.11 a/g/p OFDM Receiver for GNURadio and integrating wireshark into it.
