ECRTS06 - WiP Session
Work-In-Progress special session of 18th Euromicro Conference on Real-Time SystemsHilton Dresden Hotel, Dresden, Germany
Homepage: http://ecrts06.tudos.org/
Sponsors: EUROMICRO TC-RTS
Deadline: 28, Apr, 2006
Contributions to a special Work-In-Progress (WIP) session of ECRTS'06 are sought.
The ECRTS'06 WIP session will be devoted to the presentation of new and on-going projects in real-time systems research and applications. We are especially interested in new and creative ideas and approaches. Contributors to the WIP session will be asked to give a short presentation of their work and prepare a poster for the WIP discussion forum that will be held after the presentations. Accepted submissions will be included in a special ECRTS'06 WIP proceedings that will be distributed to all ECRTS'06 conference participants and available electronically from the Web.
The primary purpose of this session is to provide researchers an opportunity to discuss their evolving ideas and gather feedback thereon from the real-time community at large. Submissions dealing with all aspects of real-time issues are welcome. These include, but are not limited to:
o A/V streaming with RT constraints o In-home entertainment networks
o Power-aware RT-computing o Embedded operating systems
o Real-time systems middleware o Software engineering
o Adaptive systems theory and practice o Real-time databases
o Real-time sensor/actuator networks o RT programming languages
o Real-time mobile computing o Scheduling
o RT devices and (co)processors o Hardware/software co-design
o Wireless communications o Performance modeling
o Architectural support o Performance engineering
o Timing and execution-time Analysis o Formal methods
o Case-studies o Models of real-time computing
Submissions to ECRTS'06 WIP should describe original on-going work and must be limited to a maximum of four pages in the standard IEEE two column format (single spaced, font 10pt; see http://www.ieee.org/portal/cms_docs/pubs/confpubcenter/pdfs/samplems.pdf). To submit a WIP paper please e-mail a postscipt or PDF file as an attachment to the ECRTS'06 Work-in-Progress Chair, Tei-Wei Kuo
